Hvilken karburator skal jeg vælge til min motor ?
En standard motor har en max effektivitet på ca. 80% ved motorens max omdr. En hi-Performance motor har en max effektivitet på ca. 85% ved motorens max omdr. Feks. en motor på 350" = 5,7 liter V8 med feks. et max på 7000 omdr. (se billed/graf) på 700 cfm. men da den som fingerregl kun udnytter ca. 85% så skal den kun have en karburator på 595 cfm. hvilket i det her eksempel vil være perfekt med en karburator på 600 cfm. Ps. Husk altid at hvis din benzinpumpe levere mere end 7 psi så skal du have en regulator på til at justere trykket, da det max må være på 7 psi.

Two-Step Metering Rods: There are metering rods inside the carburetor designed to aid in the transition between circuits, helping avoid backfiring in the engine. Hence, it minimizes the risk of blown-up power valves. The carbs use easily changed metering rods for precise tuning, non-adjustable secondary air valves, and the primary venturi booster is a bottom-feed design for smoother acceleration and better drivability.
Electric/Manual Choke: This carburetor comes with both options. You can either choose an electric choke or a manual choke. An electric choke is the most suitable option for winters, as starting an engine in the cold can be difficult. The job of an electric choke is to warm the engine quickly by mixing air and fuel. On the other hand, manual choking involves adjusting a metal plate to increase/decrease the air. It can be a bit difficult for some users, which is why most prefer an electric choke.
Compatibility: 1406-401a works with both fuel types – gasoline and ethanol.
Unchanged Calibration: This carb is meant to hold a tune for a long time. It offers continuous performance due to the unchanged calibration.
Durable: One of the best things about this carb is its body composed of high-end aluminum. It has tremendous durability and also weighs less. It also comes in a two-piece body that restricts warping.
No Leaks: It is a two-piece design that is carefully manufactured, making sure that no leaking spots are left. Besides, the gasket blow is just at the right spot. Hence, there is little to no risk of leaks.
